Liftoff In-Game Settings
Build Configuration
- Frame: Vortex 250 Pro
- Motors: Custom Vortex Pro
- Props: 5045 Carbon Fiber
- Camera: 30 degrees tilt
- Battery: Camulus Nanotech 1300mAh 4S
Global Settings
- Game Settings
- Make sure OSD is on
- Turn on the Joystick Overlay, cause it’s fun to see it 🙂
- Graphics Settings
- Make sure to Adjust the FPV Lens Size to 2.8mm or 2.1mm depending on what you’re used to with real quads. 2.8mm is standard, but 2.1 is starting to get more popular (it’s VERY wide, though)
- I’m not sure why this isn’t in the Workbench section, but w/e.
PID Settings
- Rates
- Pitch: 700
- Roll: 700
- Yaw: 300
- I’ll take Pitch/Roll to 800 if I’m just doing acro — 700 if I’m racing
- Expo:
- 1.3 on throttle
- 1.5 on Pitch/Roll
- 1 on Yaw (linear)
- The rest I leave alone. 🙂

Tried these PID settings and build and get insane oscillations. Even after clicking reset, seems to still be there. Any ideas?
Lower your P until is stops oscillating. Just like tuning a real quad 🙂
Hey, you’ve played this game a lot, and it’s had many updates since you started. Any new advice on settings? Did you start out with lower rates and then move up? Why do you use expo in throttle and not yaw? I’m an intermediate flyer trying to I morose when the weather sucks here. Love your blog and YouTube advice, keep it up!
