Quadcopter FPV Average Windspeed Calculation

/u/silicosick on reddit asked “What’s the max wind speed that you will fly in?” And I was genuinely curious to see what those numbers looked like for myself, so I went in and looked it up.

First I pulled the data from my database for my ZMR 250

Then, I went into Google docs, and whipped up some averages and calculations to see what was true for myself.

Turns out the following:

Average Windspeed 6.21
Max Windspeed 13.87
Min Windspeed 2.86
Flights used in Calculation 43

Here’s a link to the data if you want to play around with it: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1jMjH4ehnNYkdQYjV4qmHxQKvNOIJEODmReo9_UiuuYI/edit?usp=sharing

All data was taken and saved using FlightLoggr

Hey BLC, you wrote:”And–just because everyone loves Bill Casey–Bill Casey is DOWN with the revolution.”When I first read that I interpreted it as his being against it. It’s the word “down”. I already knew he would vote with the opposition but thought he’d changed his mind. But that’s maybe just me who’s seeing it that way. Addled brain? 🙂

This is fairly off topic, so feel free not to answer it if you have no interest or if you don't know, but I was wondering how you thought about how the evidence from these new genetic studies squares with the previous evidence from skulls. I'd say it squares pretty well. Traditional physical anthropology held that the gracile gracile skulls that came to dominate Europe diffused from the Balkans, along the Mediterranean and Atlantic coast, and as a wedge along the rivers into Central Europe.
